June may be National Safety Month, but in our industry, safety awareness is required all year long. Local 2 is committed to providing the safest possible work environments for our insulators. From the extensive safety training our apprentices receive to the personal protective equipment that is used on the job, our members are provided with all of the necessary tools to allow them to make it home from the job safe and sound. In turn, the work that we do actually enhances the safety of everyone around us. Two of the ways we make facilities safer is by removing materials that are harmful to breath in and by properly installing insulation on hot piping systems that could otherwise burn people that brush by it.
